Born on Third Base Pt. 1

At this point in reading the book I have very mixed reviews, but the message that Chuck is trying to relay and teach his readers is one that i've never encountered before in a book. What really caught my eye as I was uncovering what the book was about is Chuck's choice of title. I love how the book is titled Born on Third Base because it means so much. In the authors case he means this by his financial position he was put in thanks to his parents. Chuck says that he was born into a family of wealth and a family that holds their position within the "1 percent" firmly.

Why I have mixed reviews of the book is because of the insane stunt Chuck makes, by donating all his inheritance to charity. Don't get me wrong what he did wasn't bad at all, personally I would never do such a thing because I want to give my family the brightest future possible, but I also think he could've been a lot smarter with his inheritance. If I was in his position with his motives I wouldn't just donate all the money I have in one sitting, what I would do is correctly invest the money so the inheritance grows, and donate all the proceeds from the investments, so the charities have a steady cash flow coming in and not one just lump sum.
